Prep Cook/Kitchen prep

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at Dragonfly Asian Bistro! We are a family owned restaurant and are looking for a another dependable individual to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food preparation, and works well with others to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.

HOURS NEEDED:
Tuesday, 11-2; 4-8:30pm
Wednesday, 4-8:30pm
Thursday, 11-2; 4-8:30pm
Sunday, 4-8:30pm

**There is possible opportunity for additional hours if candidate is a good fit for our team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning vegetables, marinating meats, and other food items.
• Follow recipes, preparation lists, and portion-control guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Prepare ingredients according to order tickets.
• Help with kitchen cleaning and closing duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have Oregon Food Handler's Card upon hire or obtain at time of hire.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus, but not required.

Benefits

• Lunch is provided at 2pm daily.
• This is a tipped position! Tips are split between both FOH and BOH.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
