This position requires early morning availability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
• Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
• Fulfill orders accurately as dictated by par sheets
• Strictly follow recipes and take personal pride in every item delivered for service
• Able to safely use and operate kitchen machinery
• Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
• Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
• Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
• Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Requirements:

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handlers Card. Kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions

• Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
• Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
• Lift and carry 30+ lbs
• Work in fluctuating temperature environments
• Read recipes and convert units of measure
• Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Self-motivation and the ability to accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
• Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology, methodology, and knife skills
