Prepress Offset and Digital Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Prepress Offset and Digital Operator to join our vibrant manufacturing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of preparing print materials for production, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality and precision. Your expertise in both offset and digital printing processes will drive the successful execution of print jobs, from initial file setup, final proofing, imposition and plate making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge prepress software, contributing to the creation of high-quality printing, both offset and digital.

Responsibilities

• Interpret production documents accurately to set up print jobs efficiently across offset and digital printing platforms.
• Manage color calibration and color management techniques to ensure consistent color output across all projects.
• Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite for layout design, image editing, and prepress adjustments and imposition software for press.
• Perform mechanical adjustments and routine maintenance on digital printing machinery and prepress equipment to optimize performance and prevent downtime.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing process, ensuring color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to industrial equipment operation.
• Collaborate with team members on troubleshooting technical issues related to press operation or prepress software.

Experience

• Proven experience in offset presses and digital printers.
• Strong knowledge of color management principles and print quality control standards.
• Proficiency with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or other graphic design tools.
• Familiarity with prepress software including RIP (Raster Image Processor) systems and other production tools for impositions.
• Experience interpreting production documents such as job tickets, layouts, or technical specifications.
• Knowledge of typography, layout design principles, and print advertising standards is a plus.
