Presales Engineer

About the role

This role involves gathering information from customers to identify their needs, analyzing and developing technical solutions, and delivering product presentations and demonstrations. You will provide pre-sales technical consultation and act as a key technical liaison between customers and internal teams, while coordinating with external parties and other departments to support project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Gather information from customers to identify customer needs
• Analyze, develop, and propose technical solutions (technology and equipment)
• Create design documents, bill of materials, scope of works, schedules, and proposals
• Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and Proof of Concept (POC) to clients
• Provide pre-sales technical consultation and act as key technical liaison between customers and internal teams
• Coordinate with external parties (vendors, principals, distributors) to obtain required information including price, demo equipment, and technical specifications
• Coordinate with other departments to provide required information before project commencement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Network Security, Firewall and network solution design, and pre-sales support
• Experience with major vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall
• Experience configuring network security devices
• Experience involved in a project or implementation related to network or firewall
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (Mandarin is an advantage)
• Strong analytical, documentation, and teamwork abilities
• Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
