Presales Engineer / Solution Architect

Job Summary:

Primecast is a leading broadcast and Pro AV systems integrator based in Qatar, delivering end-to-end solutions across broadcast infrastructure, IP media workflows, and professional audio-visual systems for major media, government, and enterprise clients across the region. We're looking for a technically strong, client-facing Presales Engineer / Solution Architect to join our Solutions & Business Development team.

In this role, you'll translate client requirements into winning technical solutions, design broadcast and AV system architectures, and support the sales team through the full bid lifecycle — from RFQ/tender response to proposal, costing, and handover to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze client requirements, tender documents, and RFQs/RFPs to design technically compliant broadcast and Pro AV solutions
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, Statements of Work, technical proposals, and solution architecture documents
• Design system architectures covering broadcast infrastructure (SMPTE ST 2110 IP workflows, video/audio processing, playout, signal routing) and Pro AV systems
• Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, present solutions, and address technical queries
• Source and evaluate vendor equipment, obtain quotations, and build accurate, competitive costings
• Support the sales team through the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity qualification to proposal submission and contract handover
• Coordinate with project and delivery teams for smooth handover from presales design to implementation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of broadcast/AV technology trends, vendor product lines, and industry standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Broadcast Engineering, Communications, IT, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical sales within broadcast, Pro AV, or systems integration
• Solid technical knowledge of broadcast systems, IP-based workflows (SMPTE ST 2110), video/audio production equipment, and Pro AV solutions
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Visio and MS Office/365
