Presales / Senior Technical Consultant (Network & Security)

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving technical solutions and supporting the sales cycle within the network and security domain. This includes conducting needs assessments, technical analysis, solution demonstrations and aligning with stakeholders to ensure a strong technical close. You will serve as a key technical advisor to customers, advocating for their needs internally while aligning with JOS Malaysia's solutions and offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Scoping & Design

• Proactively design and scope network & security solutions that meet customer requirements and business outcome
• Assess both met and unmet customer needs and tailor recommendations to optimize value for the customer and the company
• Collaborate with Principal's Solution Specialists and Sales teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially viable.
• Facilitate technical discussions with key stakeholders from the customer's technical team

1. Sales Support & Technical Closing

• Work closely with account managers to align solutions with business goals
• Drive the technical sales process from discovery to closure, including documentation, demos, and technical validations
• Develop and present compelling technical proposals and proof-of-concept materials to highlight solution benefits and ROI

1. Team Enablement & Business Development

• Provide coaching and technical training to sales team members to improve solution selling capabilities
• Identify and pursue upselling or cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
• Maintain accurate records of customers engagements, technical activities and updates

1. Post-Sales Alignment

• Collaborate with delivery teams to create implementation roadmaps and ensure solution adoption
• Support smooth handovers from presales to project delivery teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Presales or Technical Consultancy within network or data center environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Technical expertise in: Routing, Switching, Wireless and Security Technologies.
• Strong understanding of protocols and tools: DHCP, DNS, NAC, Procy, Sylog, Firewall, SSL VPN and Network Management
• Experience in cybersecurity and the interdependencies of applications, systems, and network services
• Familiarity with networking, cybersecurity, data protection, and data centre solutions.
• Strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for learning and keeping up with emerging technologies.

• Cisco: CCNA, CCNP
• Huawei: HCIA, HCIP
• Palo Alto: PSE
• Fortinet: NSE, FCSS, FCP
• Trend Micro: Apex One, Vision One
