Preschool Assistant/Floater

IMMEDIATE HIRE – FLOATER/ASSISTANT TEACHER

We are looking for a loving, nurturing, flexible, and dependable Floater/Assistant Teacher to join our team!

Position Hours

10:30 AM – 6:00 PM

This position requires flexibility and the ability to step in where needed throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• A loving and nurturing personality is a MUST
• CDA preferred for lead positions only
• Must have completed the required 45-hour training or be in the process of completing it
• CPR certification required
• Must pass a background screening
• Flexible and reliable – MUST!
• Previous preschool/childcare experience required
• Must be comfortable working with children of different ages and classrooms
• Must be willing to assist wherever needed to support the school and teaching team

Responsibilities

As a Floater/Assistant Teacher, you will play an important role in keeping our classrooms and school running smoothly. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
• Covering teacher breaks throughout the day
• Serving lunch and snacks to the children
• Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
• Supporting teachers with classroom transitions and daily activities
• Providing care, supervision, and nurturing support to children
• Substituting in classrooms when staff members are absent
• Being flexible and ready to work in different classrooms or areas of the school as needed
• Supporting the overall needs of the school and teaching team

Flexibility is essential. This position may require you to adjust your classroom assignment or responsibilities based on staff absences and the daily needs of the school.
