Do you love working with preschool children and enjoy preparing healthy, delicious meals? The Giving Tree Learning Center is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Preschool Center Cook / Support Teacher to join our team!

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children, their families, and our community. You’ll prepare nutritious daily meals for our little learners and help create a fun, safe, and nurturing classroom environment where children can learn and grow.

Available Positions

• Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (for candidates with childcare experience)
• Part-Time: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–2:30 PM

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy, delicious meals that meet preschool children’s nutritional needs.
• Track and manage food allergies, ensuring children’s safety and communicating allergy information to classroom teachers with every meal delivery.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
• Collaborate with center leadership to purchase food and supplies, maintain inventory, and keep required records in compliance with local and state regulations.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members through excellent communication and a welcoming attitude.
• Support preschool classrooms during non-kitchen hours by helping teachers create a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Stay flexible and assist with the daily needs of our childcare center.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children ages 0–5 in a classroom setting.
• Current food handler certificate or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• A positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a genuine love for working with young children.
