Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction to individual needs, including special education and early intervention support.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student activities and incidents.
• Lead activities that promote physical development, creativity, and emotional well-being while fostering a love for learning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms efficiently while maintaining a positive learning environment.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
