Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to the individual needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development strategies that incorporate best practices in childhood development instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress through assessments, standardized testing results, and behavioral observations.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of child development principles, including toddler care and early intervention techniques.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional credentials in special education or childhood development are a plus.
• Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is desirable.
