Preschool Teacher

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization, is currently seeking a Toddler Lead Teacher for an immediate start at a Montessori school in Catskill, NY.

Note : This is a part-time position working with toddler-aged students.

Responsibilities:

• Plan lessons according to Montessori curriculum for toddler students.
• Identify children who may need additional support and collaborate with early childhood staff to determine appropriate resources and next steps.
• Create and maintain weekly lesson plans using Transparent Classroom.
• Observe and monitor student progress to identify individual needs and support continued growth and development.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
• Supervise and support Assistant Teachers through weekly meetings, collaborative lesson planning, and ongoing communication to ensure effective classroom support and instruction.
• Model strong classroom leadership and implementation of the Montessori curriculum while providing constructive feedback and guidance to support professional growth.
• Support children in developing independence through toileting, dressing, food preparation, eating, making their own work choices, and engaging in hands-on activities aligned with Montessori principles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related degree required. Master's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a Montessori classroom preferred.
• At least 2 years of previous K-12 teaching experience.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.

Additional Details:

• Montessori MACTE-accredited teacher training preferred; however, the school is willing to provide certification for candidates who do not currently hold one.
• Relocation assistance and 75% tuition remission may also be available.
