Preschool Teacher

About the Role:

Our Lead Teachers are the heart of our program, bringing creativity, structure, and warmth to every learning experience. At Play-Inspired Learning Center, you’ll guide children through a thoughtfully balanced day of child-led exploration and purposeful activities rooted in science, math, and the arts.

Qualifications:

• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Experience working with young children in a licensed setting
• Background/Interest in the Montessori Pedagogy
• Knowledge of child development and play-based learning
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities:

• Co-develop engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans aligned with early learning standards
• Promote language, math, science, and creative expression through hands-on exploration
• Support children’s problem-solving, collaboration, and emotional self-regulation
• Observe and document growth to inform planning and parent communication
• Maintain a peaceful, organized classroom with clearly defined learning areas
• Partner with families to support each child’s development
• Uphold all licensing, health, and safety requirements

Physical Requirements:

This is an active teaching role that requires full engagement with young children throughout the day, including:

• Sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and frequent movement
• Lifting and assisting children (up to 40 lbs)
• Engaging in active play, including outdoor activities
• Supporting children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and meals
• Maintaining awareness and quick responsiveness in a dynamic classroom environment

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
