WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join Creative Services, our team of expert designers that transforms complex ideas into powerful visual communications, supporting Bain client teams and business partners around the world through high-impact presentation design, storytelling, and data visualization.

You’ll work closely with designers, client teams, and business stakeholders, helping the team deliver high-quality work while creating an environment where designers can grow, collaborate, and perform at their best.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As a Design Manager, you will lead and develop a team of designers while ensuring high-quality design delivery for Bain client teams and business partners.

Your primary focus will be people leadership, team development, project leadership, art direction, client communication, and stakeholder management. You will set direction, manage expectations, guide quality, and help your team navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced client service environment.

Your previous design experience will help you understand the work, relate effectively to designers and client teams, and provide credible guidance. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of designers, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and professional development support
• Lead design projects and set creative direction, helping teams translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and high-quality visual communications
• Partner with client teams and business stakeholders to define project objectives, align expectations, and guide delivery across scope, timing, resources, and quality
• Oversee the quality of design work, providing art direction and helping designers solve creative and delivery challenges
• Manage multiple priorities and help teams deliver effectively in a fast-paced, client-service environment
• Act as a trusted partner to client teams and business stakeholders, communicating effectively across different levels of seniority
• Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the design team
• Track team performance and, where applicable, use KPIs, service levels, quality metrics, and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement

**ABOUT YOU

 Must Have**

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, preferably rooted in graphic design and/or communications
• Expert proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong design credibility across graphic design and storytelling
• Strong leadership experience managing, mentoring, coaching, and developing designers, with the ability to lead design projects, set direction, manage expectations, guide quality, and deliver through a team in a fast-paced client service environment
• Advanced/fluent English, with strong communication skills across client teams, business partners, and senior stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in corporate, consulting, professional services, business presentation, or client service environments
• Experience tracking team performance, KPIs, service levels, quality metrics, or operational performance

WORKING MODEL

This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week.
