We have conversations with farmers and contractors as we capture the daily challenge of producing food for the world. Your role will be leading those conversations with our contributors on camera.

On a filming day, you will be required to lead conversations with our contributors and be curious about their farm or contracting business, often digging deeper to get an opinion or detail that would otherwise be missed. You will also support the film crew by driving the jeep for rolling shots, operating cameras (we will teach you this!) and organising logistics for the filming.

When you’re not on a filming day, you will be based in our office just outside Antrim Town (BT41). Much of our filming is a single day shoot in either Northern Ireland and ROI, however you may be required to travel for up to a week at short notice (24/48h) further afield (such as Great Britain or the southern counties in the Republic of Ireland).

Your availability to travel overnight during our busy filming season from March to September is essential.

· Full-time position, based in the Antrim area (BT41)

Essential Requirements

· Travel required with filming crew (weather driven and seasonal across UK & Ireland)

· Clean UK driving license

· Willing to learn secondary video production skills to assist your fellow crew members

· An interest in the people and the family dynamics behind farming

· A likeable nature - people who have just met you feel comfortable (a good sense of humour and a natural storytelling ability is very useful in this role)

· Unguarded and open about yourself - you will need to share aspects of your life experience on camera

· 5+ years of real-world farming experience to draw on as you hold conversation with our contributors

· A willingness to stand on to see a job through to completion is a must. Teamwork by our definition is someone who is reliable, takes responsibility, communicates well and is constructive when working with others towards solving a problem.

Useful Skills

· An interest in learning more about every aspect of farming - not afraid to admit you don't know something when asking questions!

· An affection for the heavy machinery and plant - either the latest and greatest or the classic kit still in use

· A passion for the livestock, from pygmy goats to dairy cows, we need someone who can talk turkey with our featured farmers

· Curious about the business perspective of the owners making the big decisions on how they run their operations

Ideally you will have a skillset that would be a benefit to the business such as Agricultural Mechanicing, Marketing or Tech Support, however this list is not exhaustive and you may have another skillset that could be valuable while working at our base!

Pay: £26,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
