PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete sheet metal bending production tasks according to production plans and work instructions, ensuring production is completed as planned.
• Operate the press brake machine and perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the equipment.
• Carry out rework on defective or returned parts according to actual requirements and instructions.
• Perform self-inspection of products according to the production self-inspection checklist.
• Provide reasonable suggestions for improving the bending process.
• Maintain proper sorting, organization and cleanliness of the work area, and ensure that materials and products are placed in designated areas.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant experience in press brake operation / sheet metal bending is preferred, with 2–3 years of experience being an advantage.
• SPM / SKM Level 2 or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical, CNC or other related technical fields. Relevant working experience will also be considered.
• Able to read and understand 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Able to understand and follow SOPs, work instructions and relevant production requirements.
• Familiar with basic identification of tooling and materials, and able to select appropriate tooling according to processing requirements.
• Familiar with press brake operations, including machine start-up, program editing, processing path planning, and equipment and tooling setup and adjustment.
• Able to process simple and complex sheet metal parts and proficiently use relevant tools and measuring instruments.
• Able to perform routine maintenance and upkeep of press brake equipment.
• Able to handle basic abnormalities arising during the bending process.
• Understand and comply with workplace 5S standards, including sorting, organizing and cleaning, to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Willing to learn and use the company's internal system for production records and reporting, with training provided.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is an added advantage.
• Experience operating sheet metal processing equipment from brands such as BYSTRONIC, AMADA or Komatsu is preferred.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
