Press Brake Operator – Metal Fabrication

We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a metal fabrication shop and be comfortable reading prints, working with different types of material, and producing accurate parts to specification.

This position requires someone who understands the fabrication process, takes pride in quality work, and can work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake equipment
• Bend and form metal parts according to drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
• Select proper tooling and make machine adjustments as needed
• Measure completed parts using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Verify angles, dimensions, and tolerances throughout production
• Work with various gauges and types of sheet metal
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Communicate with welders, fabricators, laser operators, and other shop personnel
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Assist with other fabrication/shop duties when needed

Qualifications

• Previous press brake experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing shop
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong understanding of measurements, angles, tolerances, and basic shop math
• Experience using calipers, tape measures, squares, and other measuring equipment
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot setup or forming issues
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to safely lift and handle metal parts and materials
• Willingness to work as part of a team and assist in other areas of the shop when needed
