Lazenby Group is looking for a skilled and reliable Press Brake Operator to join our growing fabrication team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operator to join our team and play an important role in producing high-quality fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating press brake machines according to specifications and technical drawings
• Adjusting machine settings to ensure accurate bends and shapes of sheet metal parts
• Inspecting finished components for quality, ensuring they meet specified tolerances
• Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to maintain optimal operation
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and work orders
• Utilising hand tools, tooling and measurement devices such as calipers and gauges for precise work
• Assisting with material handling, including loading and unloading sheet metal sheets

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven experience operating press brake machinery in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Minimum 5+ years’ press brake experience
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including welding, grinding and assembly, is advantageous
• Familiarity with mechanical principles related to tooling and machine setup
• Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations
• Experience working with hand tools, tooling and various fabrication equipment
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions accurately
• A strong work ethic with a focus on quality, health and safety

What We Offer

£15 – £18 per hour

Working hours:Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pmFriday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
