Press Brake Operator

Wolfe Ridge MFG is a leader in firewood equipment manufacturing and sales. We build high-quality log splitters and firewood machines used by customers across the country. We are hiring an Experienced Press Brake Operator to form parts and write programs for our 2 Safan press brakes in our Eau Claire, WI shop. This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded press brake operator looking to join a great team dedicated to making world class firewood equipment.

Work Schedule

Enjoy a four-day work week on first shift, working four 10-hour days Monday through Thursday. We offer flexibility in start and end times within our standard shop hours of 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to help accommodate family and personal commitments, provided a consistent schedule is maintained.

Additional overtime opportunities may be available on Fridays as production needs require, with employees typically working up to 50 hours per week when overtime is needed.

Experience

5 years minimum of Press Brake Operation is Required.

What You’ll Do

· Pick parts from laser or racking.

· Use tablet for ERP job tracking and blueprint reading.

· Load tooling into Press.

· Verify prints and parts match Revision levels.

· Form batches of parts varying in qty’s from 1 to 50, ranging from 20ga stainless to ½” mild and alloy steels.

· Support teammate operator in completing 1st part PC inspection as a buddy system.

· Hold tolerances per print.

· Perform 2 man bending of large parts weighing up to100 lbs.

· Write programs for new parts per print on 5-axis 80-ton electric brake and 6-axis 230-ton hydraulic over electric brake.

· Keep accurate counts of completed parts and put away in correct locations.

· You can use measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures and angle finders.

· You can be a strong member of a small press brake team.

· You work well with a team and help where needed.

· You care about safety and keeping your work area clean.

Helpful, But Not Required

· Other machine experience such as saw/laser/milling.

Physical Requirements

· Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 70 lbs. Heavier parts will use 2 man or lifting equipment.

· Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and use your hands during the shift.

· Use tools, shop equipment, and production materials safely.

· Work with steel parts, noise, dust, and changing temperatures.

· Wear required safety gear, such as safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection.

Work Environment

· Hands-on manufacturing shop work.

· Daily collaboration with fabrication and production leads.

· Work may change based on what the production team needs that day.

· Some days may move fast when parts are needed quickly.

Employment Notes

This is a non-exempt, hourly job. Overtime is handled under federal and Wisconsin wage rules.
