Job Summary
A "Class A" Press Brake Operator job involves operating, setting up, and programming advanced press brake machinery to precisely bend and shape metal sheets according to detailed blueprints. Key responsibilities include reading complex technical drawings, selecting and installing correct tooling, using precision measuring instruments, performing complex CNC programming, conducting quality control inspections, performing routine machine maintenance, and adhering to strict safety protocols to produce high-quality metal parts for manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup:
• Operate and program various press brakes, including CNC models.
• Select, install, and adjust the appropriate tooling (dies and punches) for specific jobs.
• Set up the machine according to job specifications and process control instructions.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiently read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to understand design specifications.
• Utilize precision measurement tools like calipers and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform complex programming on CNC press brakes to achieve precise bends and forms.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Detect and correct material or equipment defects.
• Perform spot inspections to maintain quality throughout production.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards in the manufacturing facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Skills & Qualifications
• 5 years experience with press brake operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to handle a physical workload.
• Understanding of CNC controllers and programming.
• Familiarity with various metal types (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum) and bend allowances.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
