Press Engineering Staff (Automotive Stamping & Die Development)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support new automotive model development projects for major automotive customers.
• Collaborate with Topre Japan on SE (Simultaneous Engineering) activities, including stamping process studies, forming simulation analysis, and cutting layout optimization.
• Provide technical presentations and consultation on stamping processes and die-related topics to customers.
• Prepare die specifications and technical documentation for die manufacturing.
• Review and analyze die layouts, die drawings, forming simulation results, and tooling trial reports.
• Coordinate with die makers and suppliers to discuss technical issues, propose improvements, and ensure project requirements are achieved.
• Monitor project schedules, track progress, and report project status to management.
• Drive tooling modifications and continuous improvement activities based on assembly feedback and customer requirements.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure successful project implementation and on-time delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to stamping processes, tooling performance, quality, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering, or related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in metal stamping, press tooling, die design, or automotive manufacturing. Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of metal stamping processes and stamping dies.
• Understanding of die layout, die drawing, forming simulation, and tooling development processes.
• Knowledge of stamping process cost analysis is an advantage.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
• Familiarity with automotive industry requirements and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, CADmeister, or CATIA.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
