We are seeking a reliable Press Helper to support our production team. The successful candidate will assist with press setup and operation, inspect finished products, handle materials, maintain a clean work area, and follow all safety procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in developing skills in the printing industry.

Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm – 7:00am

Job Summary:

The Press Helper assists press operators with setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses. This role helps ensure that printed materials meet quality standards, production deadlines, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret job jacket information on upcoming jobs on production schedule
• Ensure all required materials are stocked at the press to run scheduled jobs
• Assist with press setup, including loading paper, ink, plates, and other materials
• Feed paper or other materials into the printing press
• Monitor press operations and report defects or equipment issues
• Inspect printed products for color, alignment, clarity, and overall quality
• Clean presses, work areas, tools, and equipment
• Help operators adjust settings and change materials between jobs
• Follow workplace safety procedures and proper handling practices
• Perform other general production duties as assigned
• Availability to work overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and product quality
• Willingness to learn press operation and basic equipment maintenance
• Previous printing, manufacturing, or production experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina and hand-eye coordination
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials, typically up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, reaching, walking, and repetitive hand movements

Compensation: $17.00/hour
