Job Summary

We are looking for a Press Operator to operate and monitor press machines used in engineering and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with press machines, sheet metal, fabrication, or mechanical production processes and be able to work safely while maintaining required production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate press machines according to production requirements and work instructions.
• Set up materials, dies, and components for production.
• Ensure accurate and consistent production as per drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensions, defects, and quality.
• Perform basic machine checks and report breakdowns or abnormalities.
• Follow production schedules and achieve assigned output targets.
• Maintain proper records of production and rejected parts.
• Follow all machine safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping around the machine and work area.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Tool & Die teams as required.

Requirements

• Matric / Technical qualification / DAE Mechanical preferred.
• Previous experience as a Press Operator, Machine Operator, or Production Operator in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic presses will be preferred.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, measurements, tools, dies, and production processes.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments such as vernier caliper and measuring tape.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work overtime or shifts when required.
