Job Title: Presser

Salary: $11.00 - $13.00 hourly

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dry Cleaning Presser to join our team. The Dry Cleaning Presser will be responsible for pressing and finishing garments using various equipment and techniques to ensure high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have experience in garment pressing, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of delicate fabrics.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain pressing equipment such as steam irons, presses, and steamers.

• Press garments according to established procedures and quality standards.

• Inspect garments for stains, wrinkles, and other imperfections before pressing.

• Identify fabric types and adjust pressing techniques accordingly to prevent damage.

• Handle delicate fabrics and garments with care to avoid shrinkage, stretching, or distortion.

• Assist in the sorting and organizing of garments for efficient processing.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

• Uphold company policies and procedures regarding garment handling, quality control, and customer service.

• Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience as a dry cleaning presser or similar role preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of different fabric types and their pressing requirements.

• Ability to operate pressing equipment safely and effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends as needed.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads up to 25 lbs.
