Preventative Maintenance Technician

Position Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician

Department: Shop

Location: Athens, AL

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacements
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend solutions
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs
• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in maintenance technologies
• Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules and protocols
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents and other coworkers at all times
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work task
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
• Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a construction environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge, preferred, not required
• Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance
• Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds
