DescriptionThe Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking a full-time Preventive Program Caseworker at our Community Based Services Program.Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am-7pm (Saturday-Sunday OFF)Position Summary: The Preventive Program Caseworker provides direct case management services to children and families including but not limited to: risk assessment and goal setting, transportation, and community referrals as needed.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provides needed services to families with cultural humility to help reduce the disproportionality and disparity in the child welfare system.
• Provides home-based alternatives to foster care of children where children are safely maintained.
• Enhances family capacity to provide for their children and receive appropriate services to meet their education, physical, social/emotional development, and mental health needs.
• Ensures the successful community reintegration of children returning to the community from out of home care.
• Participates in weekly supervision.

• Bachelor's Degree and/or CASAC
• Experience working with children and families
• Valid NYS Driver License in good condition as determined by the Agency
• Must complete and pass a pre-employment physical, PPD and drug screen and an annual physical and PPD.PREFERRED Qualifications:
• CASAC
