What they need
Pricing Analyst – Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zone Required)
A. Stucki Company is looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our team in a fully remote position. This is an opportunity for a data-driven professional to take a key role in helping us understand pricing, costs, margins, and profitability across our business.
We’re not looking for a traditional accountant. We’re looking for someone who has a solid foundation in finance and accounting but gets excited about data — someone who can work with large datasets, build meaningful reports, uncover trends, and turn numbers into insights that help the business make better decisions.
What You'll Do
As our Pricing Analyst, you'll work at the intersection of pricing, finance, and data analytics . You'll have the opportunity to dig into our data, identify opportunities, and help our teams better understand what is driving our pricing and profitability.
- Analyze pricing, costs, margins, sales, and profitability data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Work with large datasets and data warehouses to pull together information from multiple sources.
- Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using Power BI or similar BI platforms .
- Support pricing decisions by analyzing customer, product, market, and cost data.
- Identify unusual trends, data discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other teams to understand business questions and develop data-driven solutions.
- Help improve the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of pricing and financial data.
- Look for opportunities to automate manual reporting and make our data easier to use.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that business leaders can understand.
- Take on special projects and ad hoc analysis that help drive business performance.
What We're Looking For
Data Analytics: You enjoy working with data and can look at a large dataset and figure out what the numbers are telling you.
SQL: You have hands-on experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
Business Intelligence: You have experience with Power BI, Tableau, or a similar BI/reporting platform and enjoy turning data into useful dashboards and visualizations.
Data Warehousing: You understand the basics of data warehouses and how information is structured, stored, and pulled together from different systems.
Finance & Accounting: You have a basic understanding of concepts such as revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and financial variances.
Problem Solving: You are naturally curious and don't stop at identifying a problem — you dig into the data to figure out why it's happening.
Communication: You can take complicated analysis and explain it in a way that makes sense to people who aren't data experts.
Attention to Detail: You understand that small data errors can lead to big business decisions, so accuracy matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, pricing analysis, financial analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role .
- Hands-on experience with SQL required.
- Experience with Power BI or a similar business intelligence platform required.
- Experience working with data warehouses and/or large relational databases preferred.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance concepts.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus, but not required.
Why This Role?
This isn't a role where you'll simply run the same reports every week.
You'll have the opportunity to dig into the data, ask questions, find opportunities, and help shape how we think about pricing and profitability. You'll work with people across the organization and have visibility into the decisions your analysis helps support.
If you're someone who enjoys SQL, dashboards, data, problem-solving, and figuring out why the numbers look the way they do , we'd love to hear from you.
