Pricing Analyst

Job Summary

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing market rates, developing competitive pricing strategies, and providing effective shipping solutions to support sales activities and customer requirements. This role focuses on air freight and ocean freight pricing, RFQs, spot bids, and carrier relationship management.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external customers to support the sales process.
• Recommend competitive pricing strategies and suitable air freight and ocean freight solutions.
• Develop pricing solutions to meet customer requirements for RFQs and spot bids.
• Develop, maintain, and improve pricing processes and policies.
• Manage, develop, and optimize relationships with airlines, shipping lines, and other carriers.
• Assist in resolving pricing and service issues between customers and carriers.
• Support capacity confirmation and negotiate carrier contracts and freight rates.
• Collect and analyze competitive intelligence, market trends, and industry conditions.
• Monitor freight market fluctuations and anticipated customer demand.
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide competitive quotations and support business development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing and bid preparation within the freight forwarding industry.
• Experience in air freight and ocean freight pricing is preferred.
• Previous sales support experience is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and business analysis skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Access, and other relevant software is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
