About the role

We are seeking a Pricing Export Import professional to join our team on a full-time basis in North Jakarta, Jakarta. This role is strategically important to our operations, as pricing accuracy and competitiveness directly impact our business profitability and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for developing, managing and optimizing pricing strategies for our export and import freight forwarding services. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can analyze market trends, calculate freight costs, and provide competitive quotes whilst maintaining profit margins.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain competitive pricing structures for export and import freight forwarding services

• Analyze shipping routes, carrier rates and market conditions to determine optimal pricing strategies

• Monitor and review competitor pricing to ensure our rates remain competitive within the market

• Calculate freight charges including handling fees, documentation fees, customs duties and other associated costs

• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure pricing aligns with business objectives and client expectations

• Maintain accurate pricing databases and documentation for audit and compliance purposes

• Negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines and other logistics partners to optimise cost structures

• Process pricing amendments and manage special promotional rates as required

• Provide pricing analysis reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making

• Received bidding inquiry (Ocean Export, Ocean Import, Domestic, and Airfreight) from overseas, from internal BD Team, and from Customer

• Reporting PNL

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in freight forwarding pricing or a related role within the logistics industry, ideally with 3+ years of experience
• Strong knowledge of export and import regulations, shipping terms (Incoterms) and international freight documentation
• Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and software, including experience with pricing databases and management tools
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to work with complex cost calculations and financial data
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build positive relationships with shipping partners and clients
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing pricing information and quotations
• Knowledge of various shipping methods including air, sea, and land freight
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple pricing requests simultaneously
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing market conditions and client requirements
