Primary classroom Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Assistant to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our vibrant early childhood education program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children’s development through engaging, age-appropriate activities and a caring classroom environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong understanding of childhood development principles to foster a love for learning in preschool-aged children. The hours are 9:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m .

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social-emotional growth.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions and self-regulation.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support early intervention strategies, special education needs, and overall childhood development goals.

Qualifications

• Proven classroom management experience within early childhood education settings or daycare environments.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods, toddler care practices, and preschool experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
