Primary School Teacher

Our Boys Primary School is currently looking for a General Studies Primary School Teacher. This is a ongoing permanent position to start on 28th Jan 2027. This roles offers 0.65 - 0.8 FTE, across Monday to Friday.

Other responsibilities include:

• Planning and implementation of a curriculum of teaching programs or courses of study using a range of teaching techniques and materials
• Planning, implementing and marking a variety of assessment tasks to monitor students’ progress
• Implementation of strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
• Maintenance of records of class attendance and recording of student progress
• Liaison with students and parents
• Implementation of effective student management strategies consistent with the school’s behaviour management plan
• Attendance at regular staff and curriculum planning meetings
• Provide supervision of students during recess, as timetabled
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for ongoing wellbeing and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community

About you:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in mid-upper primary general studies curriculum content, current curriculum approaches and teaching practices
• Passionate about teaching and working with children
• Resilience, empathy and patience in their approach to teaching
• Excellent communication skills, classroom management and flexible on tailoring to varying student needs
• A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
• Hold a Tertiary qualification in Education (Bachelor degree or higher)
• Hold a current VIT registration

Pay: $72,936.85 – $118,450.00 per year
