Redwood River School is looking to fill two vacancies - Primary Teacher Key Stage 1 and Primary Teacher Year 5/6 (teaching secondary aged students) to join our wonderful independent SEN school. Our new school is based at the Old Postern, a breathtakingly beautiful medieval building steeped in history and surrounded by the tranquil natural beauty of the South Devon countryside.

As a Primary Teacher, you’ll deliver a broad, balanced and responsive curriculum that meets every student where they are. You’ll be a key part of a nurturing, creative and highly reflective team, using your skills to unlock each learner’s potential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Planning and delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
• Promoting strong progress across the curriculum
• Leading subject development and assessment in a key area of the curriculum
• Supporting LSAs and collaborating with therapy and pastoral teams
• Developing holistic learning experiences rooted in relational and trauma-informed practice
• Using a range of strategies to meet the communication, sensory, social and emotional needs of students

What We’re Looking For

• QTS
• Experience working with students with SEND, particularly ASC, PDA and SEMH
• A reflective, resilient and relational approach to teaching
• Ability to work collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team
• High expectations and a belief in the potential of every learner
