Principal Advisor

About The Role The Principal Advisor will be responsible for providing high-level policy analysis and advice, particularly in relation to Māori providers. This role includes developing complex documents such as RAS’s, briefing papers for Ministers, and public consultation documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver complex policy advice to stakeholders.
• Develop and prepare briefing documents and consultation papers.
• Engage with Māori Crown partnerships and conduct te Tiriti analysis.
• Mentor and coach junior analysts to enhance team capability.
• Collaborate with team members on funding and regulatory arrangements.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in senior policy analysis and development.
• Strong capability in engaging with Māori Crown partnerships.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior staff.
• Background in social policy is highly advantageous.
