Principal AI/LLM Agent Architect

Appstem is seeking an experienced Principal AI/LLM Agent Architect to design and develop advanced AI systems powered by large language models. This role focuses on building intelligent agents, integrating AI into software applications, and establishing scalable architecture for reliable AI-powered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design architecture for AI agents and LLM-powered applications
• Develop workflows using tools, APIs, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Evaluate model performance, reliability, and security
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on AI solutions
• Establish best practices for AI system development and deployment
• Research emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering or AI development
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, agent frameworks, and AI application architecture
• Experience with Python, APIs, and cloud-based systems
• Understanding of RAG, prompt engineering, and model evaluation
• Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills
