Principal Civil Engineer

Are you an RPEQ or Chartered Principal Civil Engineer who signs off on land development and subdivision designs — and wants a delivery-focused principal role in Brisbane?

I am partnering with a growing multi-disciplinary land development consultancy to find a Principal Civil Engineer for their Brisbane team. Working closely with developer clients, the team delivers drainage, road works, stormwater models, designs and reports on landmark developments across Queensland.

What you'll do

• Co-lead project design delivery alongside the State Lead, coordinating engineers and drafters
• Review and sign off on road, lot and drainage designs, ensuring high technical standards
• Oversee design delivery and liaise with clients, project managers and authorities
• Manage project budgets, invoicing, fee proposals and variations
• Lead stakeholder engagement and strengthen client relationships
• Drive quality assurance and adherence to engineering standards and best practice

What you will bring

• Civil Engineering degree
• RPEQ accreditation or Chartered (CPEng) status
• 10+ years’ experience in civil design on land development and subdivision projects in Queensland
• Experience signing off on designs
• Hands-on design capability in DRAINS, MUSIC, 12d and Civil 3D (AutoCAD an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and Queensland council road and drainage requirements
• Confident communicator with clients and internal stakeholders
