Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will shape cloud infrastructure automation strategy across both cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency. You will lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code solutions that support development and deployment optimization. The position also partners closely with engineering teams to reduce manual work, strengthen security within automated workflows, and drive continuous improvement through emerging technologies.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $144,200 – $288,400 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks and solutions
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to optimize automation
• Champion the reduction of manual processes to increase efficiency
• Build automation scripts for managing cloud and on-premises environments
• Architect robust CI/CD pipelines to improve development and deployment workflows
• Implement security measures within automation workflows
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in automation technologies

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, and cloud engineering
• Proven track record leading projects in large-scale environments
• Deep expertise in programming languages for automation
• Strong knowledge of configuration management tools
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
