As a Principal, you will combine deep consulting expertise with strong commercial and relationship-management capabilities, helping clients align their people and organizational strategies to drive performance.

You will lead complex, customized and multi-workstream engagements, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and bring together Korn Ferry’s broader capabilities to respond to each client’s unique needs.

The opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Build and expand relationships beyond technical buyers, engaging senior business leaders to identify opportunities and increase client impact.
  • Develop informed perspectives on client business issues using analysis, industry knowledge and an understanding of each client’s operating environment.
  • Define, recommend and co-create strategic and innovative solutions that address complex organizational and workforce challenges.
  • Lead the delivery of complex consulting engagements, ensuring strong project management, effective collaboration and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Manage client expectations and enable project teams to deliver through clear communication, coaching, influence, problem-solving and diplomacy.
  • Support the development of relationships with large and strategically important clients, including organizations with international stakeholders and requirements.
  • Lead proposal development and shape opportunities for complex and medium-sized clients.
  • Bring together expertise from across Korn Ferry to create integrated solutions that respond to clients’ broader business needs.
  • Deliver high-quality work as an expertise lead, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and research, build relationships with business and thought leaders, and represent Korn Ferry on national and potentially international platforms.
  • Support the development of colleagues through mentoring, timely feedback, coaching and project-based learning.
  • Contribute to practice development, quality assurance and the creation of best-in-class consulting tools, methodologies and intellectual property.

What you will bring

You will be a highly experienced consultant who is comfortable working with senior leaders across a broad range of organizational and people-related challenges.

You will bring:

  • Typically, 10 or more years of relevant experience gained within a consulting environment, client-side HR function or top-tier professional services firm.
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification, such as a master’s degree or doctorate, or significant equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working in progressively larger, more complex and higher-impact client situations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build, manage and grow senior client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex consulting engagements and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • The ability to translate business challenges into practical, innovative and commercially viable solutions.
  • Strong proposal development, project leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Deep expertise in a relevant consulting discipline, supported by a commitment to continued learning and knowledge-sharing.
