What they need

About the Role

Glasgow is becoming an increasingly important hub for technology and digital innovation, and at RQuan Digital Services Ltd, we build practical digital solutions that help organisations work smarter. We combine data, technology, and business expertise to create products and services that deliver measurable value.

We are looking for a Principal Data Analyst who can take ownership of complex analytical initiatives and turn business data into clear, actionable insights. You will work closely with technology, product, and business teams, helping shape analytical strategies while mentoring experienced analysts and establishing high standards for data quality and reporting.

You will be a key contributor in translating complex datasets into recommendations that influence business and technology decisions.

Why Work With Us?

The Environment: Our Glasgow team works in a collaborative professional environment where analytical thinking, technical expertise, and practical problem solving are highly valued.

Data Culture: We believe analytics should directly support better decisions. You will have the opportunity to influence how data is collected, interpreted, presented, and used across the organisation.

Modern Technology: You will work with contemporary analytical platforms, business intelligence tools, databases, and cloud based technologies while collaborating closely with our software and technology teams.

Growth: We support professional development through training, industry events, technical learning, and opportunities to take ownership of increasingly complex analytical projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics Ownership: Lead complex analytical projects from requirements gathering through analysis, interpretation, and presentation of findings.

Data Strategy: Establish analytical approaches, reporting standards, and best practices that improve the consistency and reliability of business intelligence.

Insight Development: Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with technology, product, operations, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions.

Team Mentoring: Provide guidance to junior and mid-level analysts, review analytical work, and help establish strong standards across the team.

Reporting and Visualisation: Develop clear dashboards, reports, and analytical presentations that allow stakeholders to understand complex information quickly.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related field, with demonstrated experience taking ownership of complex analytical initiatives.

Technical Skills: Strong experience with SQL, data visualisation, analytical modelling, and business intelligence platforms. Experience working with cloud based data environments is highly desirable.

Analytical Thinking: You can investigate ambiguous business problems, identify the important questions, and develop evidence based recommendations.

Communication: You are comfortable presenting analytical findings to technical and non technical stakeholders and explaining complex information clearly.

Leadership: Experience mentoring analysts, leading analytical projects, or establishing analytical standards is highly valued.

Mindset: You are commercially aware, detail oriented, pragmatic, and focused on producing insights that lead to meaningful business outcomes.

Pay: £65,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
