Your new role

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will take on a leadership position within the building systems group, overseeing electrical design delivery while also managing and developing a team.

This is a hands-on role. You will stay involved in design and QA/QC while driving project execution and supporting the broader growth of the team.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading and mentoring a team of engineers across multiple experience levels
• Overseeing electrical design and production on a range of building projects
• Reviewing drawings, redlining, and driving QA/QC standards
• Supporting project planning, staffing, and delivery alongside project managers
• Working directly with clients, architects, and internal teams
• Contributing to proposals, scope definition, and technical input

What you’ll need to succeed

• PE license (NJ or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
• 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering
• Strong background in building systems (power, lighting, etc.)
• Experience managing projects and/or leading teams
• A hands-on approach to design and technical review
• Interest in stepping into a broader leadership role
