Principal Electrical Engineer

Can you please confirm the 3 main responsibilities/day to day activities required for this role?

1. Own hardware blocks for implantable devices across new development and sustaining: requirements, design changes, analysis, root-cause investigation, verification strategy, design documentation, and impact assessments.

2. Characterize and verify hardware requirements through a mix of hands-on lab work and analysis.

3. Support production test and manufacturing troubleshooting.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

2. Design verification of hardware requirements: test plans, characterization, test procedures, and reports.

3. Class III medical device design controls and test automation: requirements traceability, Good Documentation Practices, test method and software validation, data analysis, and ISO 14708 / IEC 60601 compliance.
