Principal Electrical Engineer

Principal Electrical Engineer | Los Angeles, CA

Base Salary: up to $250k (flexile depending on level hired)

A highly successful and fast-growing company in the Space sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the end-to-end design and development of advanced electronics hardware.

Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design for high-speed digital and mixed-signal systems using complex multilayer PCBs.
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes for systems incorporating FPGAs, microcontrollers, and peripheral components.
• Support high-speed networking, power distribution, and system-level architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, RF, antenna, and firmware teams to improve overall system performance.
• Test and troubleshoot prototypes in lab and field environments.
• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are reliable, testable, and suitable for production and system integration.

Required Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in electronics hardware design
• Proven experience with complex, high-density electronics and FPGA-based hardware
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience with RF Hardware is a big plus! (not a hard requirement)
