An international data center infrastructure platform expanding its presence across the United States.

The business is developing large-scale digital infrastructure for increasingly power-intensive customer requirements, combining development, engineering, construction, and operational capability.

The Role

As Principal Electrical System Architect , you will:

• Own electrical system architecture across next-generation data center developments from concept through commissioning and operations
• Define critical power topology, system configuration, redundancy philosophy and electrical design criteria for high-density compute environments
• Establish electrical standards, reference designs and engineering requirements that can be deployed consistently across the portfolio
• Lead technical strategy across utility interface, MV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators and critical power systems
• Evaluate emerging power technologies and determine their application within scalable, resilient infrastructure architectures
• Act as the senior electrical technical authority across internal teams, consultants, utilities, OEMs and engineering partners
• Direct critical design reviews, system studies and technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle
• Partner with Mechanical, Controls, Construction, Commissioning and Operations to ensure electrical systems integrate effectively across the wider infrastructure
• Translate construction, commissioning and operational learning into continuous improvement of future electrical designs

The Person

The successful candidate will likely bring:

• 10+ years’ electrical engineering experience within hyperscale data centers, mission-critical infrastructure or other large-scale critical power environments
• Deep expertise across MV/LV distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators and critical power systems
• Strong understanding of data center electrical topologies, resilience and redundancy philosophies
• Experience defining electrical architecture, engineering standards or reference designs beyond individual project delivery
• Proven technical ownership across design, construction, commissioning and operational phases
• Strong understanding of power-system studies, protection, coordination, grounding and electrical system integration
• The technical credibility to challenge consultants, utilities, OEMs and engineering partners and make significant system-level decisions
• Experience operating as a Principal Engineer, technical lead, SME or equivalent technical authority
