Principal Engineer

We are seeking an experienced ATE Test Engineer with 12+ years of expertise in semiconductor test development for SoC, RF, IoT, and connectivity products. The role involves owning end-to-end ATE test solutions, including silicon bring-up, characterization, production testing, yield improvement, and product qualification. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Teradyne UltraFLEX/UltraFLEX Plus or Advantest V93K platforms, strong knowledge of DFT, mixed-signal and RF testing, and proven ability to collaborate across design, product engineering, and test teams to deliver robust, high-quality manufacturing solutions.

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Own and drive ATE test solutions and hardware development for wafer-level and package-level testing of SoC, RF, and IoT products.
• Develop, debug, and maintain characterization and production test programs for wireless connectivity, PSoC Edge, and microcontroller devices.
• Design and support multi-site ATE hardware solutions on Teradyne UltraFLEX and UltraFLEX Plus platforms.
• Apply strong expertise in DFT, circuit analysis, process-design-test integration, DOE, and SPC to improve product quality and test effectiveness.
• Lead the resolution of customer application issues and RMA investigations, ensuring timely root-cause analysis and closure.
• Create and enhance test programs, driving manufacturing improvements and production efficiency across existing and new products.
• Validate product performance and ensure compliance with datasheet specifications throughout design optimization and customer sampling phases.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to internal teams, manufacturing partners, and customers.
• Drive device and package qualification, supporting new product introduction and successful production transfers.
• Participate in first silicon bring-up, debug, yield improvement, and test time optimization to enable high-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IP Design, Applications, DFT, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering to ensure successful product development and production release.

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed 

• Must have minimum 12+ years of experience in ATE test development and semiconductor product testing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Teradyne UltraFLEX, UltraFLEX Plus, and/or Advantest V93K platforms.
• Strong expertise in Digital, Analog, Mixed-Signal, and RF testing.
• Sound knowledge of DFT, ATPG, PMU, DOE, SPC, and semiconductor test methodologies.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Perl, Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with IG-XL (v10+) and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and SMUs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• Proven ability to mentor teams and drive manufacturing and test process improvements.
