Principal Engineer - Site Design

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Engineer - Site Design to join the team of a leader in the Staffing space.

This role will serve as a technical lead for large-scale site design projects from initial planning through completion. The position will focus on civil engineering design execution, technical review, and process improvement while partnering closely with project managers to deliver work on time and within budget. The right candidate will also help strengthen team capability through mentoring, training, and the development of engineering standards.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale project design as a technical lead from initial design to completion
• Perform high-level analysis and review of project documents for compliance
• Monitor engineering processes and resources to maximize productivity
• Develop and implement standards for diverse engineering activities
• Strengthen team technical expertise through training and mentoring
• Support project management by organizing technical resources effectively
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion
• Apply creativity and accountability in design tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of related civil engineering experience
• Registered professional with 4+ years supervising technical personnel
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, and erosion control
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of exceeding client expectations
