Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Reference and Evaluation Hardware Design Architect and design, component selection and schematic capture of MCU based robust motor drive hardware, PFC, high-power inverters(MOSFET/IGBT/GaN/SiC), gate drivers, sensing circuitry (current,voltage, position), etc.
• PCB Layout using tools such as Cadence Allegro(Preferred) or Altium Designer
• Board Bring-Up & Hardware Testing Lead prototype bring-up, system bench testing, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis of the system.
• Motor Control System Validation Integrate hardware boards with motor control firmware and physical motors (BLDC and PMSM) on dynamo meter test benches.
• Work with FW engineers to validate total system dynamics.
• Technical Leadership (for Principle Engineer role) Lead design reviews, author clear technical specifications and test documentation, and mentor junior and mid-level hardware engineers.

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field with 8+ years of hands-on experience designing motor drive hardware and high-power electronic circuits.
• Deep understanding of 3-phase inverter topologies, gate driver design, field-oriented control (FOC) hardware dependencies, and current sensing methodologies (shunt vs. Hall/LEM), and experience with wide-bandgap (WBG) semiconductors (GaN or SiC) is preferred.
• Proven track record of high power PCB layouts.
• Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC troubleshooting is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of MCU and FW to aid in collaborative debugging.
