  • Lead technical FMEA content development with system architects, hardware and software leads, safety, quality, and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Ensure proactive identification of failure modes, effects, and causes, with clear technical rationale and risk linkage.
  • Ensure consistency and traceability between System/Design FMEA and Process FMEA, including alignment of risks and actions.
  • Drive reuse of validated technical content, standard functional blocks, and product-line lessons learned.
  • Review and approve completeness and correctness of technical FMEA content per project milestones.
  • Support FMEA steering and release reviews with clear technical status, open risk themes, and mitigation effectiveness.
  • Track and drive closure of technical action plans with responsible owners and ensure residual risk is acceptable.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong experience in system-level product development in automotive or other complex embedded systems.
  • Proven capability in technical risk management, requirements engineering, and interface management across disciplines.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AIAG and VDA FMEA methodology and practical understanding of DFMEA and PFMEA interaction.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into structured, high-quality FMEA content with clear prioritization.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional technical reviews and aligning stakeholders on risk quality and action ownership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to technical detail and traceability.

  • Familiarity with automotive development process (ASPICE, ITAF16949)
  • Experience building and reusing foundation/family FMEA libraries across product lines.
  • Understanding of manufacturing handover phases and responsibility transitions from development to industrialization and launch teams.
