Principal Engineer, Workforce, Customer & Agentic Identity

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Engineer Workforce Customer & Agentic Identity to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $199,000 – $274,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical architecture for identity platforms across the enterprise
• Champion identity solutions to enhance customer authentication while ensuring security standards
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to modernize identity solutions
• Lead initiatives for authentication, authorization, and identity governance capabilities
• Evaluate and adopt new identity technologies and standards
• Drive Zero Trust initiatives through advanced access controls
• Influence enterprise identity modernization by articulating business and security impacts

Qualifications

• 12+ years in designing and implementing enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
• Expertise in identity platforms like Ping Identity, SailPoint, or similar
• Strong knowledge of customer and workforce identity management, including federation and SSO
• Experience with Zero Trust identity architectures and risk-based authentication
• Familiarity with AI and agentic identity concepts and governance models
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; security certifications preferred
