What we’re looking for
- 10+ years of experience designing high-frequency AC-DC, DC-DC and GaN-based switching converters , ideally within aerospace, defence or high-reliability telecoms.
- Strong knowledge of GaN/SiC devices, high-speed MOSFETs, magnetic components and power-tree design .
- Experience with LTspice, ADS, PLECS or similar simulation tools .
- Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC testing, compliance and certification .
- Experience taking hardware through design, bring-up, debugging and production review .
- Strong understanding of thermal management, PCB design considerations and design for testability .
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- A collaborative, analytical approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills .
Why this opportunity?
This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging power electronics designs where reliability and performance really matter. You’ll have the chance to contribute across the full hardware development lifecycle, work alongside experienced multidisciplinary engineering teams, and help develop next-generation products in a high-technology defence environment.
