Principal, IT Operations 1

For our client, we are seeking a Principal, IT Operations 1 to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications space.

This role will guide enterprise IT operations strategy with a strong focus on resilience, risk management, and continuity planning. The ideal candidate will partner closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and senior leaders to strengthen operational reliability across large-scale technology programs. You will also provide executive-level technical counsel and help drive continuous improvement initiatives that support long-term business stability.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $111,122 – $201,653 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage long-term disaster recovery projects, providing strategic direction and administrative support
• Conduct Business Impact Analysis and risk assessments, providing mitigation recommendations
• Collaborate with application owners and teams on disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Define and lead enterprise-level operational strategy and technology roadmaps
• Oversee large-scale, cross-functional programs with high organizational visibility
• Act as the principal technical advisor to senior management on infrastructure and operational risk
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
• Deep knowledge of technology infrastructure and IT operations
• Proven experience leading large-scale technology programs from strategy to execution
• 3-5 years in IT operations or infrastructure with strategic leadership progression
• Exceptional communication and executive presence to influence senior leadership and partners
• Strong analytical skills for high-stakes problem solving
• Experience mentoring technical talent and managing vendor relationships
