What they need
Are you the engineer who lives and breathes high-reliability PCB design?
If you can blueprint multi-layer boards in Altium or Allegro before your first coffee, speak UART/SPI/I2C fluently, and enjoy turning complex system requirements into elegant hardware, this role in Mesa, AZ is for you.
What challenges will you tackle?
- Design and deliver CCAs and printed circuit boards that interface with military aircraft and other mission-critical platforms.
- Own the hardware lifecycle—architect, design, debug, deploy, and sustain electrical/electronic hardware for ICE products.
- Translate stakeholder needs into precise system, hardware, and I/O requirements—then document them clearly.
- Bring up boards and install embedded software/firmware to verify functionality and performance.
- Evaluate design approaches, equipment, and techniques; propose data-driven improvements.
- Lead and contribute to design reviews that raise the bar for quality and reliability.
- Continuously scan industry trends and apply innovations to enhance designs.
- Create specifications, test plans, and formal reports that stand up to scrutiny.
- Support programs with occasional travel when needed.
What background helps you excel?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (strongly preferred); an Associate’s degree plus 9+ years of electronic design experience can substitute.
- 6+ years in electrical/computer engineering roles delivering production-grade hardware.
- Hands-on PCB design mastery with professional ECAD tools: Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Siemens Xpedition/PADS Professional, or Zuken CR-8000.
- Experience with digital communication hardware and protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, IrDA, USB, WiFi, RFID, TCP/IP, and RS-485.
- Self-directed yet collaborative, with strong organization and prioritization skills.
