About the Role

Join a leading power systems consultancy at the forefront of transmission planning, generation interconnection, grid modernization, and power market analysis. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead high-impact studies for utilities, developers, ISOs/RTOs, investors, and large energy users across North America.

You'll manage complex technical projects, mentor engineers, support client growth, and help shape the future of a rapidly expanding consulting practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system engineering and power system economic studies.
• Conduct power system market analysis and information gathering work.
• Perform independent steady-state, transient stability, and fast transient model development, analysis, results verification, and reporting.
• Conduct and lead technical studies for generator interconnection including system impact, feasibility, and deliverability.
• Perform technical studies per ISOs/RTOs requirements and methodology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in transmission planning, interconnection, grid studies, or power markets.
• Experience working with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, renewable developers, IPPs, or consulting firms.
• PLEXOS, PROMOD, Aurora, GridView, or similar market modeling tools.
• PSS®E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, Aspen, MATLAB, or equivalent.
• Power Systems Engineering, resource adequacy, market analysis, and grid resilience studies.
• Renewable energy, battery storage, and inverter-based resource integration.
